Wire antenna for 3.5 + 7 MHz bands. Antenna suitable for small spaces. Included is a balun in the heel of the antenna.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

Antenna for 3.5 and 7 MHz bands suitable for small gardens, gardening colonies, cottages, holiday homes, but also for fixed installation.

The design is two inverted L antenna radiators for the 3.5 and 7 MHz bands.

The radiator consists of a vertical section consisting of a 450 Ohm double line 7.5 m long and two horizontal sections 12 m for 3.5 MHz and 2.5 m for 7 MHz.

A 1:1 balun is connected at the base of the antenna.

The antenna requires wire radials.
If the radials are to be ground radials, they may be of any length or preferably 1/4 lambda at 3.5 MHz, with a minimum of 4x 10 m.
If the radials will be overhead, it is preferable that they be tuned, 2 per band.

Specifications:

- 3,5 and 7 MHz bands
- antenna power load by balun 1 kW PEP (SSB 1 kW / CW 500 W / DIGI 300 W)
- the balun contains a large ferrite FT-240 toroid and winds the coaxial cable with Teflon insulation
- for occasional mounting, two mounting points at the ends of the horizontal radiators are sufficient
- 7.5 m double line length
- length of the horizontal part 12 m + 2,5 m
- mounting of the emitter for hanging or with a laminated telescope
- attaching the balun to the tube with plastic straps or clamps

- coaxial cable connection via PL (UHF) connector
- impedance 50 Ohms
- fasteners are stainless steel
- box size 105x105x60 mm
- the box has IP-65 protection
- clamps for pipe up to 50 mm, thread M8
- weight 0,8 kg

Wires for radials are not included.
